These are the two MyAACC Spring banners that I submitted. I made the few revisions that I said I was going to. I also added a slight bevel to the flowers and “This is MyAACC”. I also had it reading, “My AACC”, so I changed it to “MyAACC”, as it appears on the website.

I think this is a good start. I am going to follow Prof. Jen’s advice and add some more flowers, kindof leading to the text. I’m going to make ”This is My AACC” fit into the rest of the AACC text. I am also going to try to remove the small line under the bird in the [...]

This reading pretty much gave the same info as the other readings but made it interesting by applying Daoism philosophy to web design.

This reading gave tips from the W3C. For example, your website should be perceivable to everyone, links should be underlined or bold so that people who are color-blind can distinguish them.

This reading stresses checking the appearance of typefaces at the sizes you are going to use them. Some fonts that look appealing at smaller sizes will not when you make them larger and vice versa.

We learned that you can make gif animation using Photoshop. People use this to make banner ads for the web because it is a simple format and a well known standard to produce low-bandwidth animations. In this assignment we changed opacity, visibility, and tweening between frames to produce animation.

This reading was great because it was right on point with what we have to be thinking about right now, with beginning the process of making our website for the final project. It just, kind of, confirmed how I was going to start everything and gave me more ideas, i.g. Things to know about the client [...]

http://www.seomoz.org/blog/web-design-tactics
The author of this article gives advice about how to deal with being stuck when designing. One tip is Design from the inside out. I found this to be a good tip because I could see myself working on the header of a page forever, when doing my final project, thinking it doesn’t look right, and if [...]

This article talks about the difference between art and design. Art is timeless and is made from expression to be appreciated. Design serves a purpose and is made, hopefully, to work well.
I liked the quote at the end of the article, ” In anything at all, perfection is finally attained not when there is no [...]
